Took A7R4 + 100-400GM to a recent Hawaii trip, and I'm very satisfied with the results. Here is one taken in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on the big island.
My 600GM arrived today. Only had a bit of daylight so I took it for a spin in my neighborhood. We have a pond at the end of my block. A7R IV definitely focuses faster with the 600GM vs the 2-600 not to mention the bokeh. Cross posted in 600GM thread

My use of the a7r4 is maybe a bit different. I love the added resolution. I do a lot of high school senior banners and team and individual shoots with it. Here is one from yesterday and a banner from last week. The resolution is crazy good, not really shown at this size, but when I blow them up big for 5'x7' banners, the resolution comes in handy.
On the down side, some of my shoots are in very dimly lit field houses to avoid sun and weather issues. But in the very dark environments, the a7r4 (and a7r3) doesn't focus as accurately. Yesterday's shoot was in a very well lit field house with some incredibly bright lights and the a7r4 nailed focus nearly every time.

Some cracking photographs in the thread. I finally bought the A7R IV with the 85mm GM, Sigma 35mm 1.2, and Tamron 28-75mm. I am coming from Nikon D810, and the lightness of my camera bag is very much tangible, if not a bit spoiled by 35mm 1.2. The EyeAF is a revelation. I mean I went in to buy a D850 but the moment I held the A7R IV, I was sold. It felt so much better in my hands compared to the past A7 series cameras including the A7R III. The viewfinder is great, the menus are a bit convoluted but manageable, and the focus is excellent. Happy days.
