I had tried to clone out branches and leaves that stick into the picture
Changed the white balance a bit and added gradient filters and increased contrast
a more aggressive edit
unfortunately I can't post my edit without link it from my flickr
Sony A7R III + Sony FE 24-105mm f/4 G OSS by Ronny Olsson, on Flickr
I am currently in the Italian Dolomites on holiday with my Wife. Fortunately she allows me some time for photography. I have a nice set of primes with me, but is seems the Sony 24-105mm is getting the most use. As much because it is on the camera most of the time as we are exploring around. The focal range seems to fit the environment just right. I think the ability to frame accurately eliminates the need for cropping, often makes up for the lower, but in my opinion still excellent IQ in comparison to primes.
Below are a couple of quick shots.
Refugio in the Alpe di Siusi
Fresh frosting of snow this morning, just a quick shot from side of the road.

Another one with the Sony 24-100mm. Sunrise shot from the balcony of my hotel room this morning. Honestly, so far I could have just brought this lens and not missed much.

Wow Steve, those are all stunners! Love that Refugio shot!
Thanks Scott, I am glad you are enjoying them. All just quickly run through basic LightRoom processing. Nothing special, just great light, and great subjects here.
I have many more, and will be posting in various forums. The 24-105mm has been performing so well, and making things so convenient. I know that in tests that it doesn't match my primes, but in practice at the f-stops I use for landscapes it seem super sharp for a zoom to me.
a couple of images from last weekends photo charters on the strasburg railroad, featuring the n&w j # 611, and the # 475, strasburg railroads own former n&w locomotive, these are from saturday the sunniest day of the 2 i attended, the early morning sunrise golden hour runby's, the smoke header off to the left is 475 waiting it's turn to perform for the photo line. the 24-105 is my lens for steam photo charters probably 90% of my images, proving to be a good fit on the a7r4
update, added photo of 475, she deserves her moment in the sun too
