Seen early this morning - a male Common Goldeneye having a bath, but shot at a low vantage point making the droplets look like the starry universe in the background.
*Shot with 2X extender, and cropped quite a bit (a9).

A couple more from this morning; Common Merganser (female) and a Dunlin in flight. Groups of Dunlin fly at such tremendous speeds and zig-zag all over the place, making them very difficult to capture. "Spray & pray" is required.

Great series! Hope the ducks in Cambridge will still be there next week when my 600 GM finally arrives!
Douglas - was there today and it's pretty sparse and that will be my last trip down. A few Widgeon and Lesser Scaup with probably less than 5 Canvasbacks in total. Redheads are gone. Birds are heading north. Good luck!
Edit: There are a few Osprey that are nest building and you should get some images of those pretty easily. Every time I see Osprey with branches it reminds me of those Harry Potter movies
