Crested Caracara. We have seen the Caracara in Texas and Costa Rica, but they were way too far away for a good photo. Ironically, this was yesterday in Central Florida (Viera Wetlands) and it flew so close that I was afraid I would not be able to focus on him.
Crop included to show the detail of the 600 with the A7Riv when using high shutter speed.

Beautiful shots as usual, Howard. Could you share your thoughts on the bird eye AF? Thanks!
glad you enjoyed, I didnt use on these two shots, but tried EAF tonight on the Owl, works a treat, was very surprised how far out the Owl was when the AF picked up the eye, happy days😊

I opened them with Sony viewer, not my choice but waiting for Lightroom / photoshop update😊
Thanks. Am in the same situation and see some have beta / pre release versions of adobe software. Unfortunately as far as I can tell adobe pre release program is for developers and requires signing a NDA and photoshop / lightroom / DNG converter is not part of the public beta.

Joshua what's the physical distance between you and the Peregrine close up?
Mike, I posted several peregrine falcon chicks here. Are you referring to the very first image in Page 1? It was either at the minimum focusing distance or close to that. In other words, some 5m or 15 feet or thereabouts. Those images were barely cropped. After that experience, I took and used my G 200-600mm lens on the following day since a few times, the GM 600mm couldn’t focus closer on the first day.
