We have an owl family living along a walking path in a popular park.
The dog walkers will daily come across a few people with tripods photographing the family.
One of the three owlets left the nest last Thursday evening.
It stands on the same branch every time I go there.
On this day, mom got tired of it. She flew over to that tree, and called and called for the owlet to fly over to her.
After about 10 minutes, and watching the owlet dancing up and down the branch, it flew over to mom.
At this point, I would think the adults will start working on the other two, to get them to leave the nest.

I was a bit bummed because I haven't been able to get out and shoot for a few months, but I walked outside yesterday and found this lady (I think) hanging out at my little backyard pond. It's funny because there's a spot about 30 minutes from me that I've countless hours at hiding trying to get some shots of the blue herons and now the closest I've got is literally shooting from my back steps. Also, I finally got to try out the bird eye af on the a7iv and when it worked, it worked pretty well. I don't know if I would buy it only for that feature, but I'm glad it has it.

I have been looking at the performance of my copy of this lens for semi-macro.
The two images below are of a butterfly: the first is a 40MP crop from the original 50MP image, whereas the second has been cropped further to 5MP, i.e. by a factor of 3.15 (effective focal length = 1890 mm) then upscaled to 24MP in Gigapixel.
I am pleased with the amount of detail resolved in these images (even when the ISO is relatively high, at 2500)

The light direction wasn’t ideal on this one but loved the timing and how it seems as if she turns her head towards us and lifts her left wing to show us her catch 😉

My issue with tools like Gigapixel AI is that you just don't know which part is real. For me that's like watching poor media outlets, that usually stay near reality (aka could be but isn't). Since you won't be able to tell what is real, you are left wondering all the time, even for stuff that is in fact real. Given the brain is mostly incapable to keep that fully separate, you essentially know less about reality than before confusing yourself. For me that's completely different from say paintings or comedy, where at no point you are confused about stuff being made up.
I guess my point is that showing AI enhanced stuff in a lens thread is not why I am here and I'd prefer to keep that elsewhere. I also think that you have a nice shot there, that doesn't require having it's details replaced.
