I'm not really a snake person, but this guy was laying across the road at the Sacramento NWR yesterday soaking up the sun, and I sure wasn't going to drive over him. I believe it's a gopher snake. Snake Head by lennycarl08, on Flickr

Well I finally got out with the 200-600 and the A7R4 for a bit. The 1.4x was attached. Didn't have much time, and didn't see a lot … but here are a few. I noticed right away that I was getting a level of detail not seen by me with my previous A7R3+100-400 combo. So first impression is a good one. Evaluation ongoing.

Still going through all the images, but here are a handful from this year's SF Fleetweek Airshow.
The A9/200-600mm makes a great airshow combo. If I had to list a negative, I would say I have too many images to cull through.😉
Excellent detail! And very interesting composition too. Fine example of the G 200-600 in the right hands👍🏼 Both orange crafts are popping right off my MBP screen.

Thanks!
Sorry if I went a little overboard with the editing. Atmospheric conditions weren’t ideal on Saturday. So I might have over compensated in post to bring back color and contrast.
