How is the performance of the A7RIV with the 200-600G lens at present (with latest firmware)? I just upgraded my A7RII to the A7RIV for all general shooting, but since my brandnew Sigma 500mm f4S with Nikon mount has spontaneously developed serious AF problems, and the Z9 is far too big and heavy for me, I am contemplating using my lens discount code on a 200-600G lens.
I have the latest A7RIV A model with firmware 1.0, so I assume all the firmware improvements are in this body. I don't mean to shoot super fast BIF, but dependable AF is of course a must.

My a7R4 is on version 1.2, it came with that when I bought it about a year ago. I checked, that is the latest version for the firmware.
Is the AF dependable? It's dependable enough for me.
Do I miss shots, yes I do. Is it the camera's fault, sometimes, in my mind, yes I think sometimes it is the camera, but, more than likely it's me.
I have an a9, a7III, a6400, a7R3, and the a7R4.
If I were to rate the AF speed and accuracy of the cameras, I would go best to worse, a9, a6400, a7R4, a7III, and a7R3.
That said, I can't think of a time where the AF held me back in any way.
