I do NOT have any Sony gear(all Canon) but this combo is just plain spectacular!!!!
The members that post any Sony body with this lens just is spectacular!!! The detail, texture, sharpness is just mesmerizing!!
The a7RIV especially for my tastes!

Flying Double-crested Cormorant. I tried the A7R4 and 200-600mm combo on the coast yesterday with gulls, cormorants, and pelicans. Keeper rate? Maybe about 50%, which I happily accept.

I didn't realize it till today that there is a pair of White Tailed Kites at one of our NWR, here is one which I photographed yesterday as it was flying away from me to a new perch

Yes, the 1.4X TC works superbly on the 200-600mm lens as we can see in your excellent images, Leon. What is the KF about to swallow in the last image? For sure it is not fish...

TBH I'm amazed how fast the focus was , I know the bird was perched but I remember what a total PIA it was using a x1.4 TC on my Nikon 200-500 I look forward to trying it with BIF that's when the light is good enough
Oh she was coughing up a pellet , she'd not long since eaten a fish but flew around the trees where I couldn't get any decent shots
