A couple shots from Conowingo Dam in Maryland yesterday morning, A9 and A7RIV+200-600. There have been quite a bit of fish catching actions the last couple days.

Just beautiful Douglas! Were there many people there?
It has become very popular for photographers! I have met many FM'ers there in 25 years!
There is a beautiful mill downriver at the State Park also.

Thank you Dan! I was there Saturday and Sunday mornings, got there around 5:00 AM, plenty of parking , but parking will be a big issue after 7:00, I think. There were a fair number photographers and fisherman there but nothing crazy. I was at least 6' away from the next person. I was at the rocks by the water near the fishing platform. There are probably 50-60 eagles there now and I saw 6-8 fishing actions that were close enough to photograph in a span of three hours.
Here is a sequence of shots of an immature eagle catching a catfish in golden morning light on Sunday morning, I used the A9 for these.

Thank you, Dan! Are you tired of bald eagles yet?
A couple shots with the A7RIV of two bald eagles fighting over a fish yesterday morning.
I have gone to Conowingo three mornings in a row, shot with both the A9 and the A7RIV. My observation is the A9 definitely acquires target faster and sticks with the target better with busy backgrounds, the 20 FPS sure gives me more shots to choose when eagles snatch fish out of the water. But the A7RIV just gives you so much room to crop! A lot of the eagle actions are pretty far away so the A7RIV has it place. I just hope Sony will make a high speed and high resolution body soon...
