Amazing shots and lighting.
Thanks! The far bank of the river is in shadow in the early morning, but the sun hits the birds and central part of the river, so I shoot a bit against the sun.

Got up early this morning for a paddle in the kayak, and was on the water just before sunrise. Not much in the way of birds, but saw this inquisitive Raccoon on the shoreline...

What a great narrative to a wonderful natural experience Colin!!!! What is fantastic is that you experienced this on a 2 tier level...the experience and your posted results! Well done Sir!!!

These are super "Z-82"!!
I grew up at the local dragstrip even before I could legally drive! I saw many, now Hall of Fame Inductees or such up, close and personal but never thought of a camera back then. My loss!
Great to see a driver's face engaged in maneuvering around a turn at 150+mph......Really fine captures!!

Might I inquire if these were taken in beautiful Sweden? Doesn't matter other interest in where these beautiful creatures call home or "stay-cation"
Thanks Dan !
Yes the picture are taken in sweden , It's a lovely bird
So Dan have you decided yet, Canon or Sony ? a tough decision, but someone has to take it

Ronny, I am still "on the edge" here! Why? Budget..Being retired has me pinching pennies. I am being/remaining "cautiously optimistic" about future income. Do I want it and the lens combo Most certainly!!!
In the meantime I will view these spectacular images and wait.....it is very hard believe me!!
The pandemic has kept me from shooting with my "brother" Douglas, kdrk888, with his generous offer, so I can see for myself. Maybe this Fall! Maryland can be beautiful in the Fall.
Thanks!
Dan

Somewhat different look to this morning's cedar waxwings. First is a bird contemplating breakfast (the fly on the right). I took my finger off the shutter and missed the launch by 1/2 second. Second two are chasing flies.

Another stunner Ronny.
Maybe I need some clues.
I do live on a lake when I want to, and we have KF's there....but always distant, and try to get near and
boom they are gone in a flash.
Can I bait them?
