TDP's test chart shots look promising. It will be an excellent lens, though from a purely technical perspective, based on what can be gleaned from those types of chart photos, there are other similar lenses just as good or very slightly better in one way or another. The Sigma 85/1.4 ART looks very solid and maybe a fraction sharper (though shot on a different camera and resolution). The Otus 85 and 100 are also superb. As is the Zeiss 135/2. Apples to oranges, perhaps.
I'd rather an AF 85 and the 85/1.2 looks great. In comparison you can see a touch of purple fringing from the 85L IS and it might be a touch softer at f/1.4. But will it matter in people photos? It's probably splitting hairs. The old EF 85/1.2L and its more significant purple fringing brings back some not so fond memories of that lens. But, it worked well for decades of people photos and will continue to do so if one works within its limitations.
TDP also tested vignetting. The RF 85 is not nearly as bad as the RF 50. Almost a stop better, and in the same ballpark as the other high contenders. Looks good.
