I now have an 18mm f 2.8 on my Leica CL .. an extremley small package when joined. In the past I have had all of the Leica TL zooms along with a 23mm and now the 18mm but lately have been using M mount lenses on the CL .. I like manual focus. . For some reason the reviews were never that good for this 18, so I was surprised at how sharp and colorful it is. Here are my first test shots, .. on a very clear and bright afternoon on the Maine Coast.
I've been contemplating picking up the Voigtlander 28mm Ultron II based on the thread here on FM. Then I remembered I have a Zeiss Contax Distagon 28/2.8. I went searching through my adapter bag and found a C/Y to M adapter. I couple with an M to L adapter and voila'.
I forgot how close focusing this lens is (roughly 8"). Focusing on the SL2-S is easy and the lens seems to produce nicely adapted to this camera. First shots:
