The more I use the Lumix S1, the more I appreciate it. Ist 24Mp is far enough for my use. When I switched from Canon EOS 6D to Pentax K-1, I liked the 50% more pixels, the tonal gradation, IBIS and managing in high Isos. With the 24Mp of Lumix S1, it does not even seem to be a stumbling block. So I'm very pleased. The high Isos are astonishing. I do not worry about the skills of this camera any more but only to take good pictures very soon.
The leica Apo-Macro-R 1:2.8/100mm seems transcended.

From a short stint in San Francisco this past Sunday. Oh, how I miss the San Francisco of years past.
I'm really looking forward to visiting San Fran again now that things are starting to open up. Looking at the Olympic Peninsula from across the chuck is as close as I have gotten to the US in a year and a half now.

Depending on how long it has been since your last visit to SF, your next visit may be a bit of a shocker. I've shot the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in SF (with the luxury of a press pass) about 3 times since 2017. My trip last weekend was the first since 2019. The Cherry Blossom festival was canceled last year due to Covid, and the combination of political moves since and up to covid along with the effects of the virus has really turned SF up on its head in quite a few areas. Some areas are better than others, but please watch your surroundings and never leave anything in your car. I can't tell you how many times I smelled weed/urine, stepped over human "waste" and had to ignore the homeless that followed and tailed me (even as close to within two feet asking me to "stop" in Spanish for the entire two blocks) as I was walking down SF streets. I chose to keep my camera in my bag about 80% of the trip and as such, lost out on some creative photographic moments. I figured I'd rather take fewer shots than risk being a target of theft or worse.
I don't know if you follow some of the popular YouTube analog photographers, but few had their photography gear stolen (smash & grab) while in SF earlier in the week.
