I agree with your statement, the transition between the subject and background is very still and smooth with this lens for full body portraits.
Two mountains part of the Cascade Mt. Range in Western Washington. Mt. Three Fingers foreground on the right, Mt. Whitehorse on the left. Approximately 30 miles in the distance. Beautiful clear evening, couldn't ask for better conditions.

Quick test with my new acquired lense, Nikkor 85mm 1.8s, the 50mm 1.8s is on it's way. I sold my Rokinon 14mm 2.8, sigma art 35mm and 50mm and my Nikon 85mm 1.4G. I really like the new s lense, light and superb optically!!
Lake Matheson, near the Fox Glacier on New Zealand's South Island is known for its "mirror lake" effect, with Mount Cook and Mount Tasman as a backdrop. An early morning start (and perfect weather) allowed my wife and I to take advantage of the sunrise as well as the scenery.
