Got a 300mm PF a while back, and was immediately impressed with its performance. But even more so after pairing it with a TC-14EIII Teleconverter this week. Much sharper than I expected.

The AF-S 300 PF was excoriated in DSLR days due to some kind of VR failure in a critical range of shutter speeds: 1/60–1/125sec I think. With MILC perhaps the issue is moot. I have since found other ways to hit 300mm.
One of my favorites from the trip. Didn't see it at first as I was driving in a different direction, then rushed to the spot and got quite lucky with the moon's position.

Very early the next morning in Mount Cook NP. Mount Blackburn is the triangular peak on the right and the moon was now setting on the other side of the valley.
