Thank you so much for your kind words. I love seeing how nature shape trees in many different ways. It inspires me to see how robust nature is. I try not to post too many tree portraits but as it is part of my fascination I keep working on finding compositions to capture the beauty I see. I am glad these ones worked out.
I am reevaluating the old Contax Yashica MM. Carl Zeiss Distagon 28/mm /f2.8. adapted to F. I got some bad results a few times and blamed the lens for it. I now am thinking, it was probably me as the focusing of this lens go past infinity. So, I will be spending some more quality time with this lens. I hope it turns out well because I really like the rendering when it works, and it is still light weight and small, so that it can become part of my light weight kit.

Z8 with the Pergear 14mm f/2.8 II - nice little lens that's surprisingly sharp and has almost no distortion, which is remarkable to me on a budget lens. It does flare rather spectacularly depending on where the sun is in the frame though.
These are all processed from JPEG - something happened with my CFExpress card today and all the RAW files showed as corrupted and 0 bytes. I had it set to split RAW/JPEG between the CFExpress and SD card, so I had JPEG backups, but will definitely just run full clone in the future. I usually had it set that way in the past, but had changed it to split a month or so ago. Dumb. Thank goodness Nikon's JPEGs are outstanding.
I liked the colours and reflections, so snapped this the other day on a late afternoon walk around Nottingham. Its only when I loaded it into LR that I saw both lights illuminated at the same time! There's often an element of luck with this game of our's.

So far, I am more satisfied with what I am seeing. Ease of focusing with MLC definitely helps, and use of tripod.
