I wanted to give some more love to the Nikkor 50mm 1.8s, as I said before I’m not big on modern optics but that lens even though is clearly not underrated, does desserve even more praise, that lens has some character(or at least I do like it).
I tried indeed the thread for that lens but it seems it’s locked somehow.

Posting on it would have "unlocked" it and brought it back into the front page. It's been moved to the archive due to lack of posts.
First real shot with my new 400mm f/4.5 that I got today. This was with the 1.4x (and somewhat heavily cropped as I was far away) Unfortunately, we had terrible light today, with heavy overcast skies that made it extremely dark and flat. I coaxed out an OK image, but it's not quite as sharp as I know this combo can be from my other tests I did today. Hopefully some nicer light and conditions over the weekend.
Cat time again, because it's been raining non-stop for two days and it's just gloomy.
The dark season is unfortunately back on for many months here.
As a veritable light amplifier for dark, unlit interiors, the ancient Canon had to do its job again.
Bought in 1985, from my first real salary and it continues to do its job without complaint.
However LoCA/Bokeh fringing can get really ugly with the lens fully open though.
