This Belted Kingfisher was quite the entertainer. This was along a country road as the sun was rising above the brush line, just inland from the coast. We just pulled over in the opposite ditch & shot from the vehicle window.
Wifey & I recently visited the Ft Worth Botanical Gardens for the 1st time. What a lovely place. We need to go back when we have several hours to spend and start 1st thing in the AM. Need to bring a macro lens next time.
Closest town is about 15 min drive from the campground in Adirondack. I saw this groovy auto shop. I could not resist but play with Fuji Velvia color profile. Pretending it was from Santa Fe or something.
