I just wanted to do some testing. With my d850 and 600mm+tc I was never 100% satisfied because of the super small dof! But with my Z6, af is much more precise. But the 600mm f4 with ftz is slow compare to my d850. It is the only lense that I see a big difference with the ftz.
Can't wait to see what nikon will come up with. If they can do animal af like canon did with the R5 it will be pretty nice.Hopefully the af will be much better with the z6s and z7s

BTW, I just purchased the grip for the Z6. While I realize that it does not have a vertical shutter release, the grip adds space for the pinky, creates a better balance with long glass, and allows for battery-free change days. While I'd love vertical controls, I still think it was a great purchase decision for me.
did everyone switch to sony? these shots surely can't be taken with nikon because according to sony's hugest flea (chez), only a sony can take pictures like these
