Ah, the new version of the GM 85mm f/1.4 is out. As anticipated, the new lens lost weight and its waist size is also smaller by a little bit over the classic one. Sharper? Yes but do we need that trait for portraits? BTW, the existing lens renders plenty of sharpness if stopped down just little. Does it affect the bokeh? Sure but not that badly. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying no to the new lens but for sure, I won't be rushing and be pre-ordering that.
