Some shots of my wife that I just edited. I used the FE 85 and a bunch of diffusion filters stacked on top of each other. I need to catch up on sharing some stuff here!

What crazy Italian cafe attire! While the image is stunning it's also causing me to wonder how you pulled it off? Did this gal work there? You were in a foreign county... Back story please! :-)

Thank you very much, Karen! This image was captured during the Mask Carnival in Venice in Feb 2020, right at the onset of Covid. At that time, nobody knew that it would turn out to be a huge global pandemic… During the day, while shooting I over extended my right foot. I was in pain but since I setup an appointment to shoot a friend of mine in the evening in his complete mask costume, I went ahead and limped my way to the Piazza San Marco. After I was done with that, I walked or limped back in front of Cafe Florian to my place and then I saw her. She was inside behind the glass window. I pointed at my camera and she nodded. I took 2-3 images of her. I nodded, expressing my appreciation and I walked away.
During the Mask Carnival, a lot folks dress like that and wear mask. She was drinking, I don’t know what she was drinking and she didn’t wear her mask. I didn’t even know whether there was a mask there. Cafe or Caffč Florian is the oldest cafe in Europe that is still in operation. It was opened in 1720; I just looked it up. And during the Carnival, they are very, very busy. Most folks in costumes and masks wear their outfits from that period, matching the interior/decor really well visit that cafe. The Italian government ended up canceling the Carnival and urged people to go home several days later.
It was captured handheld and through a glass window… Yes, I wanted to minimize any reflection but I didn’t put much effort in so doing. It just happened that it was fairly bright inside and dark outside. And the lighting on her was not too bad.

EDIT - apologies for earlier problems with image sharing permissions - (now seems fixed).
Our English Cream Golden Retriever's 7th birthday today - and the obligatory photo shoot. He hates the scary things in the photo studio and gets very skittish - doesn't like getting his photo taken in general. In the second image he's finally relaxing a bit after getting lots of cookies - but he got out of there fast as soon as I said he was done!
