It's strange that of all the different styles of photography I've been interested over the years, portraits never really excited me; but as I look back through my pictures they're the ones that bring back the most memory and sentiment.
Sorry for the photospam, these are my favorite portraits over the past 2-3 years - apologies for the sometimes off white balance, you can tell when I haven't used a grey card unfortunately. My partners skin is hard to work with if WB is off as she doesn't get out into the sun often!

Yep. It’s the family images that increase in value every year. Our nice landscape and wildlife images we love to take will all pale in comparison to the images of friends and family 30 years from now. It’s people that really matter in the end. Great images!!

Taken during a rewarding photography trip to Myanmar a few years back. There is something about portraits captured using that low MP camera and that using a lens that a lot of folks looks down to...

What a great set! I shoot mainly family nowadays, so I’ve been paying more attention to portrait techniques, light, composition, and how to bring out a bit more character. Here is a few of my favorite ones.
