As others have said, the 24-105 is wider than 24 to allow the jpeg's are corrected in camera. This means when shooting in raw you get black corners if you don't apply correction. After correction the dark corners are gone. I assume this will be more pronounced with a filter.
Try shooting in jpeg to see if the problem still exists. It may just be that the issue is only when shooting raw due to the above mentioned scenario.
I have a B&W Kaesemann XS-Pro (82mm) coming in the mail. Looking to test stacking with NDs on the 16-35GM. I'm looking to have zero mechanical vignetting while stacking at 16mm. I figured the second thinnest CPL on the market might help. If anyone is interested I'll post samples.

Can also recommend a good filter removal? My B+W slim CPL is pita to remove once attached on the lens. TIA!
I keep a rubber band around my filter case. Works for freeing the filter from the lens and (CV65/2) the metal hood from the front threads of the filter.
I think it matters little; top quality polarizers perform similarly. Maybe think a bit about light transmission, but apart from that, pick the one that comes in the ring you like the most. I like B+W's brass rings the most by quite a margin, so I buy them. Feel good and look slick.
In case anyone was interested, the B&W Kaesemann stacked with a typical ND won't mechanical vignette on the 16-35GM @16mm. Just checked myself. There's a touch of normal vignetting in the corners, but nothing else.
Pretty excited to have found a good CPL that allows for stacking on the GM so that I didn't have to get a "dark" CPL. I'd rather have them separated for greater versatility.
Avoid breakthrough like the plague. They are such complete idiots it's almost criminal. They don't manufacture anything, (Buy the Haida or Marumi on ebay instead for much less $ and better quality) and their customer service is abysmal. I know Graham we have had several conversations some lengthy ones. He is so ADD and concerned about coming up with new products he has totally lost site of the operation. He is not a business manager or every had any training in operating a business he used to work for Apple.
He is like a guy with some money who opens a restaurant on a whim with no experience. He buys from the best supplers and gets upset if you complain about a meal or service because it's "impossible" I buy from the best suppliers. I knew a guy in Fort Lauderdale who lost millions. The best suppliers give their best customers the best food and the dumbshits get the worst and taken advantage of if they are not pleasant to deal with.
I have pointed out what you read on forum after forum about horrible customer service and he doesn't believe it he thinks 95% of his customers love the service. Dreamland
I like their stufff but it is overpriced and the magnetic filters are a total waste of time and money and extremely clunky and awkward to use. I do like their GND's and circular stuff but you better have filter wrenches handy if you use step up rings which you have to at this price level.
It is a shame but Sing Ray is just as expensive or more. I wish Fred or Roger would do a comparison using these two brands and Lee rather than the most common ones they have done.
It would be nice to have real tests done to see if these expensive filters are better or not once and for all.
I have BT CPLs and prefer them over the B&W KSM Digital MRC F-Pro and XS-Pro. I did not buy from BT until 2018 and have had no problems with shipments, products and no need for customer service involvement. I do not care who manufactures the product .. I purchase and keep stuff if I am happy with it.
I don't use step-up rings .. I buy whatever filter size for each lens and have not had to use a filter wrench.

I will say that though they are expensive, Singh-Ray has been very fast at preparing filters for me in the past. They are often made to order. I have been pleased with their service and products. But, I have purchased many of their products on eBay and have known the condition prior to my purchase.
