I am afraid you did do too much in PP on your iPad- it looks really unnatural and for my eye not as goos as the Sony photo that you posted over there at the Sony FE thread.
Hope that doesn’t show the quality of the z6 .

Sorry you don't like it. I don't know. It was a different day and much darker. I struggled to bring up the shadows and with the color balance. Don't the kids like it pumped up for the instagram
Here's another straight out of the camera before it got darker on the one I posted.

That is probably the explanation actually. It was already much darker.
The last one looks really good out of camera , though it is very dark then.
I was just wondering about the different looks .
So which system you prefer.
I guess the Sony a7II is of course the much older camera and it is not a fair comparison, but apart of that -
did you come from Nikon originally and had Sony for a while as a mirrorless alternative?

They’re both equally good systems. I’ve had the Sony longer. I actually purchased the Nikon because of the 24-70 f4 lens. I was looking for a one solution travel kit and this Z6 w/lens fills the bill perfectly for me. Even though I’ve only had the Nikon for 2 months I like using it better.
Last years trip to Cape Cod I took the Sony and a Fuji XT2. The Sony sat in the bag 95% of the time.
Tried photographing some birds - let's just say 70-200 (even with 2x TC) is not the best setup. Not enough reach / quality suffers with TC. Still - some usable stuff came out. Nowhere close to pro-birders on the forum though.

Took the Nikon z6 and 24-70 F4 for afternoon tea at claridges; also had the 35mm 1.8s but I think the zoom is more versatile and I appreciate the close focus.
Meteor shower tonight. It was my first time trying anything close to astrophotography so I kept it simple. Tripod and a long shutter. Area is filled with light pollution which made it tough to spot them but I am happy I managed to snag a photo of one.
