I ran into that the first night of hockey shooting. I would've given up on the Z6 then and there, except some kind soul here told me to turn off image review, and the problem was solved.
I think Henry meant something else - with image review ON you get this slideshow after burst. I don't think there's any fix to the symptom you're mentioning. There's always a slight delay with what you see in the viewfinder.
DxO just released DxO Photolabs 2.2 with Z6/Z7 support and a truckload of lenses. Downloaded it and so far it's looking good to me.
It's still 30% off.
Ventured into the snowy North Shore mountains. 700m elevation (2100 ft). Lots of snow. Lots of haze down in the Lower Mainland. Some dog photography of course.

About a month ago I visited a Bavarian National Park with a rented Z6 (about to buy one now).
Anyway, I used it with a Sigma 120-300 Sport, Sigma 60-600mm and the Nikon 200-500mm. The 120-300 was used with TCs mostly. Out of those three I preferred the Nikon 200-500mm. Posting a few photos...more on Flickr here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmBCvcYa
A few of the images in that album are with a D750 as well.
Meant to post these a while back. This is during my visit to Antelope Canyon in January. The ground level was full of people which made it impossible it get any level shots so these are pointing upwards.
All taken with the Z6 and 24-70 f4s. The tour doesn't allow any tripods so its all handheld. It was very dark in the cave and I was very impressed with the IBIS and high ISO performance of the Z6.
