Dabbling in low-key flowers, everything about it including flash is new to me. Still some work to do (want to try focus stacking) but I'm happy with the start
I wanted to post my opinion as a non-pro average Joe Z 6 owner. I struggled with the decision to switch to the Z6 and finally just went for it. I loved my D750 but I wanted to move on and I have too much Nikon glass to swap brands. I bought the body-only so I don't have the 24-70 s (yet). Since switching I've shot somewhere around 600 frames, mostly with the FTZ and the 24-120mm lens from the D750 kit. I have also shot with other Nikon glass
- 70-200mm F/2.8 VRII
- 85mm F/1.4
- 50mm F1.8 S.
For me the auto focus is taking some getting used to. I knew going in it would be different and the first time I got into low light with it I was a little disappointed but I'm starting to figure it out. My results have been mixed but improving thanks partly to this forum. The adapted lenses seem to hunt a bit more than I'm used to in challenging situations. On the other hand, I've shot some moving targets under tough conditions with decent results. I'm gaining confidence in the new hardware but my ability to run it as easily as the D750 is not quite there yet. One thing I have done is to load my pictures into Capture NX instead of Lightroom. I checked to see where my focus points actually were and what my AF settings were to visualize what works or doesn't work. The native S lens is better behaved, so I will continue to move towards the S line as they're released and budget allows.
Low light IQ is noticeably better than my 750 and noise extremely well controlled, I can also foresee occasionally shooting manual with auto ISO which seems to work better than it did on the 750. I never really liked shooting that way before but the with the Z6 I might. The biggest advantage for me is the EVF with live view and the histogram in my right eye. It's hard to go wrong on the exposure. That right there is worth the switch to me, I'm a notorious under-exposer then puller-upper and my SOOC results have dramatically improved. The new body has sparked some interest and I'm not sorry I moved over.
Sorry haven't been posting much. Got my z6 back from NPS a couple days ago. Took 3 days to repair. No cost obviously. It was a moderate repair. They apparently had to replace the mode dial, in order to fix the rear scroll wheel.
I'm having Z6, the adaptor and Nikon F 50mm 1.8G. Is it worth to upgrade to Z 50 1.8S?
Please give me some inputs if you have both 50 lenses? Thanks
Besides these, I'm having Nikon 35mm 1.8 S and 24-70/4 S

Tnx! There was so much of it that I created a separate album on flickr - https://flic.kr/s/aHsmzZTRdX - that contains 100 different graffiti/murals.
Great stuff. This image of the underwater scene is incredible.....
Posting 2 images to show results with the Z 50 f/1.8 S. I don't know how to calculate percent crop precisely so the easiest way is to show you.
This 50 1.8 S has me convinced to buy another S series lens. I won't compare it to the 50mm 1.8 G my copy of the G is not that great. Image is hand held (1/1250) Orchid show Missouri Botanical Gardens - We're neightbors UMSL12.
