I have been renting the Z6 over the past week and really enjoying it. Quick question about something that is frustrating the Hell out of me though.
In playback mode I can only view the "file information" data but when I press the DISP or up/down to cycle through the other playback information modes nothing happens. I can't view the histogram, shooting data, etc - I keep thinking I must have it in some funky setting but I just can't figure it out. Any ideas?
Go to Menu > Playback Menu > Playback Display Options to see what photo info has been selected for display. Check the things you want to see when toggling through playback screens and uncheck the things you don't want to see.
Your picture is the best one I have seen from Z series, and especially shot by S 24-70 which I really like. I like it better Sony 24-702.8 GM and 24-105/4 G that I owned. Size, weight, sharpness, colors are just perfect! Balances so well on Z6/7. I guess 35 and 50S are really good too. Will get them soon.

Some cold weather lately . Love having some open water nearby to add a bit of drama.

Good luck,

Thank your! I’m a Nikon newbie and clearly an idiot.
I’ve been renting a Z6, 24-70 and the 35 1.8 over the past week. I’ll throw in a plug for Lensrentals - if you're looking to rent, they are fantastic. I forgot to add the USB-C cable to my order and they overnighted it to me at no cost.
I’m an old X-Canon guy (crop and FF) who has been shooting almost exclusively Fuji X over the past few years. I shot Sony FF (A7) for a while but the ergonomics and colors drove me nuts.
I've been intrigued by the Z6/7 ever since I saw the launch and decided to give it a try. I’ve used plenty of adapted old Nikon glass but I’ve never shot a Nikon body. Gotta say, I really like the D6 and will be sad to see it go in a couple of days. It's definitely got me thinking.
FYI - I'm not sure how anyone can complain about the AF of this thing - I often shoot my dog who is crazy fast and even with the 24-70 I had no issues.
Sorry about all the dog photos, but he is my main subject nowadays ....
Snowy day. 105mm F1.4 with ftz adapter. Worked really well. Initial focus acquisition isn't great at some times but the tracking is really nice especially when shooting at apertures above F2.8.

How is the 85mm f/1.4 on this body? In terms of sharpness and handling? (I thought I saw a couple images with the 85 in the exif)
The 85mm 1.4g is a pretty good lense! It is not the sharpest lense but it has a nice rendering, bokeh. It handles really good on the z6, perfect balance
We got a little bit of snow this past Saturday, so I headed out to get some shots of the city with my Tamron 17-35 on the Z6. Camera and lens worked flawlessly, even in the snowstorm.
