Yea i bought it again yesterday used from Cameraquest. I was going for the 1.4 but Profoto gear sucked up my purse and spit out lint instead of cash. Thats life

I was eye-balling that used one - and then it was gone.
Glad it's going to a nice home.
Well I may want to get the 21 1.4 but not till I get back from NY around August 1. Tag me than if your still looking. I just did not have another 600 dollars handy. I bought Profoto gear and ate my retirement fund away. Stuff is not cheap

There is something about how this one portrays highlights, the very highest tones always look great - a very attractive look that stands up in mountain light too.

This lens deserves a more dramatic location, but at least I got out of the house yesterday.
I have a few more that I've yet to upload to Flickr, but will post later.

The western edge of the Tibetan Cultural World, above Panikhar in Jammu Kashmir. It's a zone where I have to stop the driver very often, such is the natural beauty of the place. I like lenses that 'just deliver' in these places, and the 21/3.5 is close to perfect. A freight truck to the right shows scale for the road and the scenery.

Some very nice shots in this thread! Sounds as if this lens is fun to use too. I quite like using the dimunitive Skopar 35 2.5 even with a slightly glitchy close focus adapter ..so this one should be a solid tryout for sunstars & me. I like some stars in here, others not, but I look forward to the "pick-me-up-anytime" size and nice focus action.
Ordered it just now from pch.be since the only reseller in Sweden ad verbatim has no info whatsoever from their supplier on when they might expect a shipment. Thought about the Firin for a while but all those qc reports .. companies always have different policies on returns, I hope I won't need to trial pch's. Looking forward to a sunny vacation in a week and a half. Keep the photos coming here : )

Came across this 'wedding shoot' as we were walking the walls in Dubrovnik. The visitor base is global and it would seem that it's become a place to get married. The groom evidently feels that he's out of shot.
