Thanks Morris
Surprisingly the light did get very harsh very early and a couple days were rained out, but the place is amazing and you really don’t know what you will run into or see round the corner
Unfortunately I did no go to the Elk Preserve morris wrote:
Terrific set KD,
It's hard not to take gorgeous photos there. Did you get to the National Elk Preserve?

What a great and diverse set of images from that ecosystem, KD! These are brilliantly captured and presented to put the shine on those places that they truly deserve.
Glad you had a fulfilling visit and made some good friends there!

Excellent set of shots! You had a very productive week. #4 and #5 are my favorites from this excellent set of images.
Dave
thanks Dave, we had to stay indoors for one day, since it was pouring outside and another day was partially fogged out, but the rest of the days were amazing. thanks for your picks

KD,
Just incredible! That first shot with the grizzly sow and cubs is fantastic. As I'm scrolling through I'm thinking WOW what a great trip you had. Every shot is special, then I get to the Badgers and I couldn't stop grinning. Great job catching them. I don't know how many hours I stood on the road baking in the sun waiting for them to appear and I never saw them. I'm thrilled that you did and shared them -thanks.
Great, great work,

Hi Greg,
thanks for the support and the comment and viewing.
It was an amazing experience, we had our first grizzly experience as soon as we got into the park. It was the famous 399 sow with her 2 cubs (the one made famous by Tom Mangelsen) and the cherry on the top was that we were shooting right next to him without knowing who he was. I probably shared this exchange on another thread. When the bears left the location, he asked us to look after his equipment while he got his truck there. He asked us if we were going to steal his equipment. My friend, David saw the equipment and noted that it was Nikon. He replied that since both he and I are Canon shooters, there was no likelihood of that
Regarding the badgers we spent 2 full days trying to get them, one of them was a hot day and yes we also got baked there. However the family showed up for 10 minutes and on another occasion for 5. I did get decent shots like 100 other photographers.

I’m sure this is only the opening salvo....Many many wonderful shots....bears and badgers are especially wonderful. How you held on to these so long is either a testament to restraint, work getting in the way or a backlog of recent images that seems almost endless.
YGMV!
Eric
Haha, Eric, you are too funny and also all good guesses about the delay in posting. It wasn't restraint though. I am into my busy time at work, along with many trips this year, I have a decent backlog of unprocessed pictures. Hopefully the winter days will allow me to process more of these pictures.
thanks for the support as always. Really it's people like you that had made a significant difference in improving my photography.
I have found that great photographers are always willing to share tips and suggestions that have helped me improve. So a big thanks to all.

What a fantastic set, KD!!! These are so awesome. 1, 3, 5 and 7 are incredible.
I last visited Yellowstone 6 years ago when I was not much into photography. You have inspired me to make that trip again.
YGMV.
