Here are a few with some different lenses from a trip to Niagra Falls I took with some family earlier this week. The first shot is with the Leica M 135 f/3.4 APO. The second shot is with the 7 Artisans 28 f/1.4 for M mount. The third is with the Zeiss ZF 21 f/2.8, and the last shot is with the Olympus OM 100 f/2 ED.

I got the TZE-01 Monday and brought my very first E-Mount lens Voigtlander 110mm F2.5 APO Lanthar Macro yesterday afternoon. It works very well. Aperture works controlled by the Z camera, focus confirmation works. Exif record the aperture setting correctly. Now it made me want to swap the Voigtlander 50 F1.2 M and Voigtlander 15 F4.5 III M to E mount.

All handholding, I think my hand not steady enough.
Hi, Keith, thanks for the info about Techart. I wonder with this adapter, if you put dumb lens with E mount (for example, M glass with M to E adapter), by inputting focal length information, will Z7 record that in EXIF? This might an incentive for me to get it so all my M glasses get EXIF recorded.

my mistake there. I have to actually change both lens aperture and sub-dial to record the aperture setting. So the lens is real aperture to take the photo, the sub-dial aperture will record to the EXIF. If you leave the sub-dial to f2.5, it always record f2.5.

Hello!
I've just received the Techart Sony-Nikon Z and the Commlite EF-NEX adapters. I've stacked them together and... it works! Although it also behaves in a strange way: no matter the lens, it always set max. aperture to 1.8. The focal length is correctly recorded in the EXIF data, but I have to calculate the actual aperture depending on the lens (1.8 is really 3.5 -24 TSE-, 4 -17 TSE), or 2.8 (45 TSE and Tamron 90). Apart from that little annoyance, I'm glad to be able of using my Canon lenses on the Z7...
No samples yet (well, my boring bookshelves)... This is what it looks like with the 17mm TS-E.

Cool and interesting combination felipin. Here's a stranger setup...Contax N Planar 85mm f1.4 - Conurus converted to EF, to Metabones EF-E mount adapter, to Techart TZE-01 to Nikon Z7, with a Leica strap

I'm curious what "works" includes. Three of the lenses you've mentioned are manual focus, does it autofocus?
p.47 #8 · Alt forum Nikon Z resource, discussion and image thread
Not speaking for felipin, but in my case, 'works' means AF-S, Single-point AF, or Wide AF (S or L) (not pinpoint apparently), IBIS seems to be working, as well as aperture control. Focus speed is reasonable. Struggles a bit with focus in dimmer light, my flower shot above was quite dim (see EXIF) so needed a bit of manual focus help to get in the zone. EXIF appears to record properly (note lens does identify as an 86mm).
Also seems to be working with my Canon 50/1.2L, and the Sony Zeiss 50/1.4 and Sony 24/1.4 GM.

Hi
Sorry, I had mentioned my case in some previous messages, but this thread has become really long now!
For me, AF is not a worry, that's the reason of a cheap "smart" adapter like the Commlite. Although I have an EF lens with AF (the Tamron 90 macro) I always use it in manual mode and my main concern is my TS collection. Anyway, I tried the AF with the Tamron and... it didn't work at all! If AF is important for you, you should try other combination (Metabones, for example) or wait until Kipon releases the EF-Z adapter...

Well, I've done the first test shots (did you think you were going to get rid of brick wall pictures?) and it's very disappointing. The combo produces a lot of fog (and flares), I guess we can blame the Commlite for this, since the Techart is really short. Also, the lenses focus WAY beyond infinite. Actually, I've never seen such high tolerance in any adapter. But, the most important thing, the Commlite, the Techart, both, or the combo, seem to be badly decentered. I'm posting here two 100% crops (and also the original picture, scaled to web size, for reference) for your consideration, taken with the stellar 24 TS-E Mark II. The left side of the frame seem to be clearly out of focus, smeared or something. It cannot be the lenses, they were perfect the last time I used them and this happens with all of them. It never happened before (adapted to a Sony). Of course, I've double checked that the tilting mechanism was locked. What do you think? Newly, I suspect the Commlite, because the Techart is built to much higher standards and it's much shorter. Now I am going to return the Commlite and to try a Fotodiox (I had zero problems with my former Fotodiox EOS-NEX adapter)... I'll let you how this new combo works...

Sorry to see others are having trouble. I love my TZE-01 for use with MF Loxias. They're way better on Nikon, since the focus square changing color makes it easier to focus accurately while composing. Loving the Zeiss & Nikon colors.

It's too bad that you are having those results felipin. It's the concern that I have regarding stacking multiple adapters that thickness and skew errors in the production of the different adapters have the potential to exacerbate IQ issues.
Here's a shot with the Sony 24/1.4 GM on the Z7...not quite what I expected to be shooting with the lens, but it handled the shot nicely I think..some cropping for composition.

Sure, that's a risk, since you have twice the chances of bad machinery effects...
Perhaps the smartest thing is waiting until Kipon or somebody else releases a direct Canon-Z adapter (Kipon one was scheduled for June, but it seems it's getting harder than expected...), but patience is not among my few virtues...

Well, I've just stacked this new combo (Techart TZE-01 + Fotodiox Fusion EF-NEX), and it seems promising. Just to start, the camera now recognizes the actual aperture of the lenses. Regarding the image quality, I've doing tests right now, but, examined on the LCD, the pictures look great, without loss of quality on the borders or on any side.
Disclaimer: this combo is intended for using Canon EF lenses with manual focus only, AF won't work or it will be pretty bad (I had this Fotodiox adapter previously, it won't work well or at all with AF lenses, and the addition of the Techart will hardly make things better). If AF is important to you, wait till the announced Kipon Canikon, or try the Techart stacked with the Sigma MC-11 or any good Metabones adapter. These options are much more expensive, of course (I got an used Fotodiox for just €50). I'll post samples when I can. Thanks for reading!
