Have only had my 100-400 for a week. Shot these yesterday. Really like this lens and the focal length for daytime sports. All of these with the a9.

using the 1.4 extender, shooting at f11 on my a7riii at 7:45 at night on an overcast night, so it was dark - hence the ISO at 1600 and slow shutter speed (tripod)

I voted above in the category of use it all the time, but don't post. The last part isn't really true, I maintain a website and post to it regularly, especially after trips. I am primarily a wildlife shooter, that's why the 100-400GM (usually with 1.4x TC) gets a lot of use.

Thanks, they look very nice.
I've started looking at various options for supertele, and the 100-400 GM is a candidate, but I will see what shows up this autumn as well. Though I don't think the 100-400 really can be beaten on portability.

only other thing I would add, is until more recently, sony did not have a great action camera, so not many BIF/wildlife photographers, or sports shooters. that has certainly changed with a9 and the III series. as scuh, Except that those bodies also work ok with some adapted canon lenses. Thats why I think there are fewer posts with the sony 100-400

Yeah, I've only had it a week, but really liking what I see from this lens.
Just looking at these on my laptop and they look soft here. Trust me though, they are not soft. It's my processing for this site that sucks.
