I voted above in the category of use it all the time, but don't post. The last part isn't really true, I maintain a website and post to it regularly, especially after trips. I am primarily a wildlife shooter, that's why the 100-400GM (usually with 1.4x TC) gets a lot of use.

I've started looking at various options for supertele, and the 100-400 GM is a candidate, but I will see what shows up this autumn as well. Though I don't think the 100-400 really can be beaten on portability.

only other thing I would add, is until more recently, sony did not have a great action camera, so not many BIF/wildlife photographers, or sports shooters. that has certainly changed with a9 and the III series. as scuh, Except that those bodies also work ok with some adapted canon lenses. Thats why I think there are fewer posts with the sony 100-400
