I've had several orders fulfilled from Cardinal. I've had no issues. Unfortunately you can't really "choose" who you purchase from through Greentoe. You just offer the price and whomever accepts it becomes your seller. I've had several orders from Greentoe through Cardinal and so far no issues. However I've been buying in stock cameras, not brand new releases and I'm in the US so no FX issues. Sorry to hear about your problem though, hopefully it gets resolved.

I have made one Greentoe purchase where my low bid was successful. My brand new camera came from Cardinal with zero issues. My experience was fine. I will use Greentoe again but I would only go down this path for items that have been in the market awhile.

I wish I had seen this before my recent order. Sent me a tracking number but never shipped the item and keep redirecting back and forth. If they get with this on even 1 percent of orders because people give up they will double their profit.

I've bought 5-6 cameras/lenses from Greentoe & Cardinal Camera and never had an issue.
Call Cardinal Camera directly, you'll probably get a little further.

This is a local brick and mortar retailer who is struggling to survive (in the camera market retail environment of the last 10-15 years and also now during the Covid crisis).
The problem isn’t the store, it is thinking that during this crisis things should operate as they did 6 months ago. They are not relying on shipping only 99% of their sales items to enhance their profit margin, and suggesting so is just irresponsible.
I am sorry you are having difficulty receiving your order but work with them and it will get fixed.

I had difficulty getting an item shipped that I bought from Cardinal Camera through Greentoe long before the current crisis. It took a lot of back and forth between me, GT and the store to finally get shipping info and subsequent shipment.

I have had two transactions with Cardinal through Greentoe. They were both handled promptly. I asked for special shipping arrangements on one and it was taken care of as I requested, without delay.

All my Sony gear came from Cardinal Camera: a7riv, Sigma 14-24 f2.8, Sony 1635GM, Sony 24 f1.4GM, Sigma 35 f1.2, Sony Zeiss 50 f1.4 Planar, Sony 90 macro, Sony 135 f1.8GM , Sony 70-200GM, Sony 100400GM and 2006000G NOT a single issue with the quality of the products purchased from them or service from these people. To my knowledge, they buy directly from Sony and Sigma, not through any intermediary.

Sorry but there are enough people on the thread with issues to consider this a systemic issue. Just because someone doesn't steal 99% of the time they are in a shop doesn't mean they are not a thief. In my case there are 3 times they said they will get back right away and never did. And after nearly a month I still have no idea if they ever will.

I had an absolutely horrid experience with them. Spoke to the owner who declared that return policy started when you ORDERED, not when it arrived, and then hung up on me. I got it sorted through greentoe, but I would never deal with that operation. Under his logic, there is no return policy on preorders.

I guess I’ve dodged a few bullets. So far about $10K in purchases from Cardinal spread among GFX and Sony. Other than it taking a little longer than I would have preferred my experiences been great.

In my opinion, retailers shouldn't be allowed to accept offers on GT if they don't have the item in stock (or it should at least be communicated and the buyer offered the option to wait prior to accepting). This has happened to me multiple times with CC.

It is better for us all if we continue to support our favorite physical shops. I try and buy all my gear at a few stores around the country when I travel. If I need it sooner, I order from one of them. People I know and meet from time to time that I have a long term relationships with. Over the years I've had issues that were solved effortlessly because they support their customers.
I feel it's worth a few extra bucks once in a while to have that peace of mind.

That's absurd. Companies make mistakes, and in this case, there are many moving parts. When something goes wrong, most people complain. When something goes right, some people might give praise.
It's unfair and careless to accuse GT or Cardinal Camera of a systemic theft problem based on the info available in this thread.
