My wife and I have many fond memories when visiting Kauai over the last 20 years or so. With her deteriorating health ( Parkinson's ) this next upcoming trip in October might be her last. We've shared many memories together on the island, too many to really capture in a few photos, but I picked a few of many that I have that bring tears to my eyes recalling the joy we both had as I captured the moment.
Such a wonderful set! I'm glad it brings special memories for you! Sorry to hear of the decline in your wife's health. That is a very hard illness to bear.

Great images, been to those locations and you do them justice.
My wife and I have a similar bond with Maui, we go every year.
Enjoy your trip, who knows, maybe you'll find yourself a nice little place and not come back!
Oh we've found a few very nice places...but having paid into the Canadian medical system for all those years...I now need to draw on it for support. We usually go for a month or so, giving enough time to make the place feel like home.

Ah yes, we have some friends in Maui who are from Toronto, they say there's a max number of days you can be out of the country annually in order to ensure you can keep medical coverage.

Have a great time.
Yeh, I believe it’s six months plus 1 day. I know a lot of snow birds that spend winters in Phoenix.

I think I'd pick #1 as well as a favorite, but I'm wishing the sky clipping was not going on there... Did you exposure bracket to blend and correct the dynamic range there? If so, man that is a jewel!!!
Sorry to hear about your wife's declining health. Your pictures are wonderful, and you should savor them and the memories that they bring to you.
Praying for her health
Beautiful set of images. All real nice but I think the first and third are my favorites. Sorry to hear about your wife condition. My thoughts are with you.
