I can see a lot of folks going: 21/40/110...Perfect trio spacing going from super wide to telephoto...but as you wrote, may not be ideal for paid work depending on the job.
This is what I'm doing - Laowa 15/2, Loxia 21/2.8, CV 40/1.2, CV 110/2.5. Nice gapping and premium IQ.
I kept the CV 65/2 as it makes a really nice 2 lens set (with macro) paired with the Sony 24 GM.
Sold my Loxia 25 and Loxia 85, and I don't think that I'll miss either one :-)

Which image do you like best and why?
off the top of my head the color seems better or more pop in the bottom on when you look at the blue and the buttons and headband and the bokeh balls look better.

From my calculations the amount of blur between CV 110 @f/2.5 should be somewhat similar to the Batis 135 @f/2.8 if the pictures are taken at the same distance and the 110 is cropped to 135 to match the FOV.
Here is the math:
135 divided by 110 = 1.227x
f/2.5 multiplied to 1.227 = f/3.07 which is a bit narrower than f/2.8. (A third of stop from f/2.8 is f/3.2)
My point is that if I shoot with the 110/2.5 at the same distance as the Batis and crop the 110 to match the 135's FOV, their amount of blur should be similar but the Batis will yield a bit more blur. (f/2.8 vs f/3.1)
On the images above, the CV 110 is at the bottom. It does have slightly higher contrast and more pleasant colors compared to the Batis but the latter seems to have slightly more blur....

Fred Miranda,
"Which image do you like best and why?"
Good grief, they're insanely close. I'd honestly be happy with either of them. I'm going to guess that this is a comparison between the Batis 135mm and the CV 110mm. I don't know which is which, and the differences are minute. I'm going to guess that the bottom shot is the CV due to the slight difference in perspective.
Edit: I posted this seconds after you posted the answer... I swear!

Fred Miranda,
"You were right and here is the difference in FOV:"
Wow! That's crazy how close these two are. I'll be very happy when I get mine. I hope there isn't much variability between copies. I guess we'll find out very soon.

I am curious what you guys are using this lens for primarily, macro? landscape? portraits? I know most would prefer MF for macro, but I take pictures of flowers/leaves stuff with the Sony 90 G, mostly hand hold, in my case I think the AF-C would be more accurate than a MF only lens, with the subjects moving in the wind and shaky hands. No?

Ah man tough call both great lenses. Cv is smaller lighter has nicer sunstars . Great at flare and color contrast are outstanding buts not as fast and if you do Astro not a good choice
The Laowa 15 has better distortion , it’s a F2 and very sharp even at 2.8 across the frame. But it’s bigger
Trade offs either way
Cv has more copy variation but so does Laowa just not as bad. It’s what you need choice. I want small

I'm not loving what I see from the 110's non-macro bokeh a whole lot. The B135 bokeh looks better to me (not just more OFF). I am not a fan of swirly bokeh. I also see some slight edge defining/double lining, and the OOF highlights aren't very nice (I like the Batis better). I will use the 110 for macro and landscape, so not a deal breaker for me, but I'm not impressed by the bokeh at normal distances from the samples. I know its very subjective, but I will gladly use my Olympus OM 100/2 when I want good bokeh at normal distances. And it's plenty sharp wide open at 42mp. if it did macro I wouldn't even be talkin'
