I had a great time in Florida last weekend. I was able to go down and hangout with Grant for a while and attend the Naval air show in Pensacola Naval Air Station. I took a LOT of blurry pics and maybe 1 or 2 good ones.
I got to play with Grants MK3 and his 50d for a few minutes. The LCD on the 50 is pretty amazing. If canon puts one on the mk3 anytime soon (MK3n?) I may have to sell some blood or something to buy one.
Also got to meet up with JBear and while we were shooting in 2 different areas Grant & I were able to meet up with Jon and his wife Debby and have dinner Friday night which was nice.
So next up is a potential early Christmas present from Tracey. If so I will hopefully have somethi8ng cool to post on Saturday...
That traffic and skyline shot is a great idea (and I've even tried it once or twice myself!), but those damn traffic barrels just ruin it for ya', don't they ?!
But, having said that, good luck to anyone getting a great shot like that anywhere in Atlanta nowadays without those damn traffic barrels .... they seem to be everywhere you look around here !!
I posted this as a seperate thread, but have been advised to post here also as some folks only look at this particular thread.
Just wanted to let all you Georgia Nature photogs know that we are starting Georgia Nature Photographers Association club up and our first official meeting will be on January 27th at the Chattahoochee Nature Center. Our spotlight speaker will be Charles Glatzer. For more information go to www.gnpa.org or feel free to shoot me a PM.
This club is going to be structured much the same as the Carolinas Nature Photographers Assoc. (CNPA), which has been extremely successful.
