The landscape with the rolling hills was taken in the Palouse region of eastern Washington near the city of Colfax.

The surfer was captured at Waimea Beach Park on Oahu in Hawaii.

All of these images were captured with the Nikon D800. Most were captured with one of three Nikon lenses (the 14-24, 24-70 or 70-200).

IMO, the one you chose as #1 is that by a WIDE margin (and over more than just your other shots) --really a wonderfully balanced set of colors lit & shaded, no obvious one standing out !!
