Camera bags are to photographers as purses are to women.

Not bad!
Lol

But I’ll add... not all of them. Some.

Well I smoke in the car so I have to clean everything first. I think I’m going to sell my PD 20l backpack and my Mindshift photo cross 11 for sure

Not exactly on subject, but I recently bought a holster bag from Amazon that is great for my a7rii with a medium zoom (24-105 with adapter) and the Sony battery grip. I got mine for $10.50 but they are currently $14.99.

Hi FM! I'm new here and sorry for bringing back such an old thread. I just got my a7r3 w loxia 21 and zony 55. I'm interested in the Ona Prince bag and any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

ecarlino wrote:
i too have a closet full of bags / backpacks - but every time i've tried to find that "small" one, it looks like I am wearing a purse!

my one and only bag now is the Ona Prince Street (dark truffle leather), smallest bag i've had and fits an a7r2, batis 18+25+135 and Zony 50/1.4 -- but is also small enough to that i don't mind carrying a camera + lens or two -- and it definitely doesn't look like a camera bag, so carrying it around all day / to the office, doesn't seem like i'm a tourist.

Hey ecarlino, are you still using it after 2 years since you posted this? Still loving it?

Thank you. I completely get what you are saying here--it is not just the size of the bag but what it feels like to have it with you, whether it feels like it gets in the way or is nice to have. I had looked at the Prince Street once before when I was looking for a larger bag and decided it was too small. But it may be an interesting choice here for my present purpose. I am going to take a look at it. I might even be able to get some papers in when I don't need

Hey chiron, did you end up getting the prince?

I’ve used a lot of different bag, backpacks, sling bags, shoulder bags, backpacks with swing around waist packs, backpacks with rear entry, backpacks with side entry.

My most preferred easy carry is the Sony LCS-SB1 which is like the Lowepro Passport Sling. Easy carry sling, but more low and loose (like a mail carrier bag) as opposed to more traditional sling bags like the Peak Design sling which is high and tight.

Just throw it behind me, walk, when I need to shoot just swing it around to the front. Probably my most carried bag out of maybe 30-40 bags I’ve owned over the years.

The throwback case logic holster has a strap/thingy that suspends the camera/lens from the bottom (which is patented). So the lens does not touch the bottom of bag. Very clever. $20.

The Bellingham Hadley Small is also great, well built, and will not get confused for a (m)urse.

I have a Domke F6 that's gotten an awful lot of use over the last 12 or 13 years, maybe more. Great bag for a prime shooter. I have had many fancier, much more expensive bags that haven't seen a fraction of the use the F6 has.

I'd say any Domke / ThinkTank Mirrorless Mover/Retrospective shoulder bag. However, recently I decided to go harness system (Spyder) and integrated bag (Fstop ICU) which fits in my day & hiking packs.

Same...I have an F6 (olive green) and an F803 (sand) and they've seen more use than any of my fancier, more expensive bags. They're well made and don't really scream 'camera bag', especially the F803. It's taller and narrower than the the F6 and it holds a camera with smaller lens plus another lens. I carry it with me at all times, just looks like a normal shoulder bag. I can fit my A7RII with L25 and the L85 and 100STF in my F6 or remove the STF and replace it with my Lee Seven5 filter system.

I think they look better the more worn they get....

If you are looking for something lightweight, compact, easy to carry, not always in the way as shoulder bag and don't want to pay for fancy leather bags check this one:
https://www.amazon.com/LowePro-Lightweight-Compact-Backpack-Cameras/dp/B013MC8F5Y/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Lowepro+Tahoe+BP+150&qid=1555407989&s=gateway&sr=8-1

It is small but still plenty of room for my: A7R3, 100-400GM, 24-105, 55 1.8, charger and filters.

I often go to places where I don't want it to be obvious that I'm toting a camera. I use one of those cheap plastic insulated lunch/drink boxes that are a few dollars at discount stores. The top cover zip keeps everything watertight and there is even enough room in the bag to make camera and lens adjustments before removing the camera from the bag. The insulated padding also cushions any knocks.

Ha, that's the most unique suggestion for a camera bag I've heard. I can imagine that it's definitely stealthy... My daughter has some, rainbow unicorns and such...maybe I'll try one. Likely less stealthy...
