No intention by my part of upgrading my A7R2 to the R3 ( mainly for ‘budget constraints’ I must say.) but I’m having a great time reading this thread. Almost like one of these mystery murder novels by chapters that newspapers and magazines used to publish. When will my camera arrive ?.. Will it be free from star eating compulsions? .. Is it dynamic range improved 0,5 stops or only 0.3? Oh, and the almost unbearable wait until the UPS man calls on your door ...or maybe when he calls there’s nobody at home. In top of that, when the camera finally arrives, another couple of hours until the battery is charged. ..but Oh no! when it’s fully charged it’s already dark outside, so wait until tomorrow.
Telling you folks, I’m quite relieved that my bank account is totally depleted and I’ve been spared all these woes.
Well, not really .. just an envious rant from yours truly.

No matter how you try to avoid all that you just said, you get sucked up into the hype and anticipation. Oh well, it could be worse . . . I could be spending my money gambling or drinking heavily or both! I like my addiction!

Battery charged. Viewfinder makes MF surprisingly better. Dials don’t have the slight lagginness of the r2. And yes as others said to me, rear dial stiff enough to use as ISO...
I got one extra battery: should do me (I have five of the old sor!)
Hate the interface on C1 (sure if I spent time on it...) so I’m looking forward to an LR upgrade. Maybe I’ll jst edit the images with exiftool to fool LR in the short term...

If you add the UPS mobile app to your mobile phone it will alert when a package is shipped via UPS to you/your address with estimated delivery date and live updates so you can track it along the way. ( Same with FedEx App)

Still waiting on Amazon. I do have a big concern though not sure how to get around it . My Adorama order for a Raid Array was supposed to be here yesterday which was 2 day UPS. Here is the issue I wanted to pick it up at UPS this morning at there Tempe distribution center before it hits the delivery truck and a lot of times i have been able to do that. This package even though I am a UPS choice customer I am restricted from doing that because Adorama puts a restriction on shipping from picking it up from the distribution centers. Now this package is not the concern and it will be delivered today but Im always last because I'm far out of the city proper. Now I'm worried that Amazon might put that same restriction on. Now you can change delivery to another location but can't pick it up at the distribution centers.
Amazon does have a distribution center here in Phoenix now if the camera is in this facility they may use On Trac instead. I know first world problems but i leave early Friday morning for LA and if I'm delayed like this Raid Array I may have to fly to LA at my expense late Friday on way while my wife and daughter drive over.
There is a UPS premium account I can upgrade to for 40 dollars and wondering if that may give me the option to pick up.

Well my order has moved to warehouse and CC has been charged. Ordered from B&H late evening on the 26th of October. Also called a week ago and updated to overnight shipping so hopefully I will have camera by Friday at the latest. We shall see. Just hope it gets to me in one piece as busy as UPS is right now. Pack well B&H!

Whats worse and this may affect all of us is UPS tracking is sorely lacking the last couple days as they are slammed and looks like its not keeping up at all. Right now its about 9 hours behind what it should be showing
