A few shots from the past couple of months with this lens. Between this and the 65 I'm not sure I'll have another lens on the camera, well, maybe the Loxia 21 lol. I got lucky and picked up a used one from Camera Quest back in January.

The supine baby is apparently pondering the lens' control of lateral chromatic aberration, whereas the dachshund is clearly more interested in longitudinal.

Cool to see shots that are not f1.2. The rendering is lovely as are the photos!

Honestly the dog is probably thinking, "please turn around so I can snatch that lens cover and chew it to bits"!
This could have been shot with whatever lens, but if you have the Nokton, you'll use it. 40 mm is really the "perfect normal" and I could easily live with only that.
Often cropping to ~4:3 like here though, but that makes it even more normal in historical terms.

Is anyone hearing anything about more shipments from anywhere? I ordered with Adorama at the beginning of March and they have zero news. I'm traveling to the UK in June and hoping to get this before then. Rob

I received an email from CameraQuest last week on my order. The email said the lenses are in transit and expected to ship by the end of this week.
A couple of stores in Tokyo seem to have received new stock last week as well (including Fujiya Camera in Nakano) but most are still showing it as out of stock.
40 mm is really the "perfect normal" and I could easily live with only that.
