Now, I need to keep just one (my missus says).
What should I do?
SE sounds like a best choice for my A7c. But I love the size of VM, its so cute!
What about the size of the focus ring on SE compared to the original E? Is it properly comfortable? I feel like I made a mistake buying the original and not SE to save size/weight. I thought being able to de-click might be useful someday but frankly I doubt that day will ever come.

SE has huge focus ring, its actually two rings together, that thick and thin one next to it, made separately but both work for focusing. Then aperture ring is the one at the end of the lens.

You should listen to your wife for starters
Which one do you like using most? If you also have an M mount camera it might make sense to use the M mount version and get something like a TechArt Adapter for your Sony.

I dont and wont have L mount. A7C will be my only body.
Sounds like SE is best choice however I really love the look of VM 😊

How M version performs on a7c? Is IQ worse compared to native lenses?
I may not be the best person to ask about this, as I'm not a professional photographer.
However, I can say that to me, all 3 versions perform the same. I did some test photos in very low light rooms at 1.2 and all photos looked the same. Working on A mode, camera picked different ISO for different lens, so photos had different exposure, but apart from that, all looked great. I could not tell which one's which based on photos.
I bought the VM version to use with the new Techart adapter. I'll probably sell my Sony version, though I'll miss the EXIF. I already noticed that the VM build is more prone to flare without a hood since the front element is more exposed. I'll be comparing the bokeh/corner differences too, though from the handful of shots I've taken, the difference seems not something I'll notice in actual use. Either copy of this lens takes beautiful images
