This lens is probably worth buying some sort of Sony Alpha camera, it's just that good.

I have recently buy this wonderful lens. The previous Ultron 40/2 was glued to my 5DII. So, I hope the same thing will happen with this one.
Sorry, for technical shots but I'm just a bit of a mess right now. Unfortunately I have not the best exemplar . I am not sure that I want (and I can) return it. I made centering tests (siemens star). Centering looks like ok, but the lens has some tilt. Here the corners at f/2.8

Just going by comparisons I've seen here, Bokeh/rendering seems preferable on the Voigtlander. Subjective maybe, the CV40 has less busy transition zone bokeh and is just a bit smoother. There is a thread with images you could find if you search. Image quality for landscapes/stopped down, I'm sure both perform very well, I doubt the difference is enough to pick one over the other. Pick the CV40 for size, sharp 10-point sunstars, f1.2, or bokeh reasons. Pick the Batis for AF and close focus reasons.
Semi quarantined, went for a walk in early spring snow to the nearby forest with the kids... loved it... and yes the Sony a7r2 and the Nokton can handle a bit of snow...
