This is the lens I’ve lusted after most, following my previous most-lusted after lens, the CV15, which has the most glorious rendering of colour of any lens I’ve owned. Please keep the photos coming, they’re fantastic. Considering the extremely shallow dog possible with the cv40/1.2, there are some very sharp pictures here.
I am slightly given pause since Philip and Bastian prefer the 35 1.7, but I really want a pure native lens and more important than that, when I look at threads like this I am inspired to go out and shoot. Saving up now!

Phillip is also using the 40mm 1.2E now, if I remember correctly he sold the 35mm 1.7.
So it is only me left, if that helps with your decision
Besides a couple Steve Huff videos, anyone seen a decent m-mount v. e-mount comparison? I’ve been through the whole thread, but before I had this question.
The 40 1.2 e-mount has become my favorite lens on any system, however picked up a M240 last week and wondering...

Took my sons car out for a photo shoot a couple of weeks ago to make him a poster for his birthday. Just love this little lens, it never disappoints.
Is this in Knoxville? I moved here not long ago and I've been looking for some urban backgrounds.
Yes it is, downtown near the Old City. Look on Google Maps for Chilhowee Ave and Jessamine St., it should be in that area. We just drove around and stumbled across it, the shot with the sharks is actually a big mural of Sharknado
A few more from Mauritius. I'm not sure why, I may need to be on the paid for subscription tier, but all my Flickr uploads look a lot softer than the originals.

I think it's the same for pro accounts. Flickr doesn't seem to apply much if any sharpening to the resized versions, so they look a big softer than the original file. Also, I find that browsers make images seem a bit softer than dedicated photo viewers on a desktop, so that may be something you're noticing. Not to mention looking at a RAW file is always much sharper than a JPG. Add all that up and the experience is not nearly as good as what appears in Lightroom to me. I've been bumping up sharpening during export to counter that a bit, but that's at 100% view so again the resized flickr version is still a bit softer.
Anyways, a few more shots from a recent trip to the Phipps Conservatory in Pittsburgh: African Daisy by Graham Gibson, on Flickr
