Let’s chant together
But I fear it’ll probably be too late for me. Save yourself and look away from this thread and anything to do with the 28E!!
Honestly Charles, this lens is in my opinion in the same league as the 105 1.4E. I got a great deal on mine, but now that I know how good it is, I probably would have paid a little more The ebay seller "Map camera" based in Japan often has almost new copies of the 28 f1.4 (I got my 105 f1.4 from them) for very good prices - especially with the promotions that ebay has been running.

I know the 28E is superb but I have the 20/1.8G, 24/35 Art so there is no rush.... yet I may have to budget for the new Nikon MILC high MP version!
I also don't need the 28mm f/1.4E and the 105mm f/1.4E, but I do want a 50mm f/1.4E because I already have both the 28E and 105E together with more than half a dozen of 50mm f/1.2/1.4/1.8, but no 50mm f/1.4E to fill my 28-105mm zoom range.
After shooting with the above 2 prime lenses, all my standard zoom lenses are sitting idle on the shelves.
Go! Get it before Trump's Tariff hits everyone. 👻😈😇🍻

Since getting my 28 f/1.4E, 58 f/1.4g, and 105 f/1.4E I have hardly touched any other lenses... What an amazing trinity!
Same with me. This is a great trinity. I have a bunch of unused lenses I need to take a call on. At some point, I will add a 200mm f2 (hopefully the FL version) and be done.
