I think each of these Nikons are exceptional... but do feel the 28mm and 105 have much more headroom. Translation, the 35/85 are already struggling to keep pace with my D800E, where I have a feeling when we're chatting about 100mpix cameras... the 28mm and 105mm will still have more gas in the tank.

Awesome images everyone. Unfortunately I will not be buying this lens again
I just don't see the compression I want from this 28mm in a wide angle. I'm madly in love with the 35mm. Wish it was an updated optics at f/1.4E

I'm excited to take my 70-200E out and really get to know it... and as long as the wife doesn't recall how much I spent on the 200mm VRII I think for the time being I get to keep both .

Makes me wonder what you do for a living to justify owning both lenses for a "hobbyist"
