My thoughts exactly... although the very first image samples from 105E were stellar (particularly the night shots with modified OCF and OOF city lights)

Based on samples so far, I'd say this lens rendering is incredible. Well matched with 105mm.

What I love about the image samples so far is the rendering is so smooth for a 28mm FL. I don't fully understand why but the optic design of many 28mm lenses is either too harsh, not sharp enough, too much distortion or just does not gel. Now obviously the photographer is talented so it will be interesting to see "real" world shots.

Bokeh quality from this lens is phenomenal!
These are not my images, also shot on a crop sensor. I can only imagine what it looks like on FF.
