I bought this lens from Adorama two weeks ago. Unlike my other Nikon lenses not purchased on the gray market, this one (and the 105 1.4e) does not have a "US" prefix on the serial number.

Could some of you other owners out there confirm this?

Best to call Adorama and confirm. But I guess you already know that and just want confirm with forum buddies

On a serious note: My understanding is Nikon is not consistent regarding prefixes, they may shift inventory around or simply elect to not use the US prefix, as long as the lens comes in a gold box, USA warranty card in it along with a receipt from adorama etc you should be covered.

Im very interessted in the Lens and I want to know how it competes vs the 28mm 1.8g regarding Bokeh because the 1.8g was REALY impressive regarding bokeh but had very bad loCA. Anyone can do a comparision?
