Taken on a visit to Cragside Estate in Northumberland.
It was the home of William Armstrong, 1st Baron Armstrong, founder of the Armstrong Whitworth armaments firm. He was an industrial magnate, scientist, philanthropist and inventor of the hydraulic crane and the Armstrong gun, Armstrong also displayed his inventiveness in making Cragside the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power.
Blackburn is the stream leading from the mainly drained Blackburn Lake since Blackburn dam was breached in the flood of 1927.
Well done. Flow of the water produces interesting S-curves here and there. It makes the image work for me. Foreground water has some magenta tint, no biggie though.
This past Tuesday, November 10th marked the 45th anniversary of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald. Split Rock Lighthouse is only lit once a year on the anniversary of the sinking of the Fitz. Taken on the GFX50s and the Hassleblad 180mm CFi.
The monsoon rains paused for a few hours so I headed out with the GFX gear. Unfortunately our fall colours are all gone now, but our seasonal streams are now flowing.
