This is my first try as I got a Mavic Pro for Christmas.
It flew from my backyard towards beach.
I was a able to take a picture. It was actually 7 consecutive images which were later averaged in Photoshop for better shadow noise. I can't wait to take it to more places as it's so compact.

Congratulations Fred on your Mavic Pro. A great tool. Nice image. Enjoy!
Close inspection of the device, including props before use, is advised!

Well Fred I'd like to point out you broke the laws taking that flight. Flying beyond visual line of sight is not allowed. Most people don't realize just how important it is to operate within a set of guidelines that are now back in force after being struck down by a court a few months ago. your Congress however revived & passed a law that has come into effect recently.

As much as it's now law it took more than 1 voice to make it law while up here in Canada our Transport Minister was all it took to over react & create a new set of temporary rules (that are the law) while they finalize adjustments to them & make the full set of rules the law this spring. His over reaction pretty much killed my primary R/C flying by restricting us to a 300 foot ceiling & I fly R/C electric powered gliders at home (in a rural area). The 300 foot ceiling is removed ONLY when flying at sanctioned club fields or special events that have been sanctioned by MAAC.
As an FYI this is not going to help Drone pilots who plead ignorance of the rules & regs. A lot of people claimed this was a rumor & didn't actually happen but I think we have proof it did, and at great expense but fortunately no one was injured.
