Taking a class photo I ran into a problem. Funny sun beam on the front of the group.
I didn't have a 20'x20' silk on hand, nor a bus to block the light. It was going to go away in about 25 min but the group had to be to dinner in 10 min.
Decided to bring in the class support dog and try to make the best of it.

Oh man Mike - #2 and 3 from Iceland are just stunning.
Thanks! Unending goodness there for sure...I stuck with the M3P and left the X7 behind. Which turned out for the better. We were juggling to keep the mavic batteries charged and available.

Another in Brookfield, CT. All I have to do is fly my drone straight up from my backyard and this is what I get, so it could almost become a bit of a photo series for me.

Usually the local team isn't too excited about drones, but I got approval to fly a game recently. Mostly video, but grabbed a few stills as well. I3 with a 35mm lens.

I picked up a Mini 4 Pro today to augment my Air2S, as something smaller and potentially easier to pack with my other camera gear, and I also like that it is quieter and can take true vertical photos, and that it has 360 degree obstacle avoidance and a few other nice features.
First impressions are quite positive. The sensor is noisier than my Air2S when viewed at 48MP, but that's to be expected. However, the files have quite a lot of detail in them, and the lens is better at the edges than my Air 2S. With some good RAW post-processing, the final files look really nice. I've only done one quick test flight with it, so nothing exciting to share, but I'll post this just as a test shot.

Testing the Mini 4 Pro at night. I'm really liking this drone. With the plus batteries, flight times are fantastic, and the faster aperture helps at night. Biggest thing I'm noticing is that the lens on this is significantly sharper at the edges than my Air 2S. Getting really nice image quality overall. I think 48MP mode is a bit of a gimmick, though if you need the utmost resolution, it does get you more detail if you shoot that and then downsize to 12-20MP after...at full res, you just have some weird artifacts and such. However, the 12MP RAW, while not quite as detailed as a downsampled 48MP RAW, is very close, and much easier to deal with, so I think I'll shoot with that for most things. I also really like the ability to do native vertical shots without a crop. What a great little drone.
