I'm a very new newbie for drones, just bought a spark to learn how to fly and how to handle it, 2 weeks ago.
Lot of fun so far, next will be a Mavic 2 Pro. Very few Spark photos here, so I'll show what I've achieved so far:
This is my home village from above:

Just got back from a cruise where we stopped at St. Maarten, Old San Juan, and Labadee. I’m really fed up with my Spark and am looking forward to a Mavic 2 Pro eventually, but I did manage to get this shot over St. Maarten.
Problem is the Spark has a crummy connection with the remote and it likes to act up at the worst times, making video impossible and photos difficult.

Maybe there’s something wrong with your Spark. My college uses 10 of these for all kinds of stuff, including video, stills, and 3D scanning. The photo department uses them all the time for photography and video too. No issues like you describe. Every now and then we will lose WiFi because our campus is a black hole for cell service and WiFi. Is there any reset to factory or maybe a firmware update to try?

I'll have to take yet another look at it. Lately, I've been using a cable to hook it up to my phone, but maybe I'll try WiFi again. I want to upgrade either way, but part of me does like having the Spark as my "beater" drone... one that I wouldn't be heartbroken about crashing or losing.

Here are a few frame grabs from 4K video taken with a DJI M2P, all shot while solo back-country skiing in Washington's Cascades.

I flew the drone out from this gully, framed the top, shot while I skied it, stopped to reset the gimbal to the lower section and shot the next section. You have to look close to see me - look for my red coat in a sun area mid way down in the first one.
